Ran across this on Ebay... it's a vintage fan that uses a 220V hot plate mounted to the grill. Hmm - super hot coils, within easy reach?? Think of it as the EXACT OPPOSITE approach Vornado takes to heater design. At least they used a cool color though!
Interesting strategy to keep fingers out of the blades though! Pretty sure no-one in the history of this product managed to get their fingers stuck in these blades.
